Last week Stephanie worked the Niche Media Conference. One of the speakers, David Adler (@davidadler) of BizBash, stated, “Everyone is bored with Experiential and now events have to be Transformational.” That comment inspired a blog and this week’s #Expochat! We’ll discuss the best and worst ingredients a f2f, b2b expo or conference can have.
Transformational as defined by by Merriam-Websters: of, relating to, characterized by, or concerned with transformation. Transformation is a complete or major change in someone’s or something’s appearance, form, etc.
Q1 What is a transformational event? Let’s define it.
Q2 Do you agree or disagree with Experiential being over and Transformation is the “new black”? Why or why not?
Q3 Can an expo be both experiential and transformational? How? Any examples?
Q4 Name some characteristics transformational events you’ve been to.
Q5 Name some characteristics of those events that didn’t live up to their billing.
Q6 Name kinds of Content/Sessions that were transformative. Why?
Q7 Name some Speakers that were transformative. What did they specifically do?
Q8 Have you encountered some Networking ideas that really charged up an event?
Q9 Were those sector specific or could they work with other groups?
